Promus Online: International music publishing – feat. Helen McLaughlin/The Kennel, Sweden.
Even though Danish music publishing, and the work of getting the new generation of songwriters and producers out in the international field, is on the move these days, the Swedes are still in the lead when it comes to “world domination” in the international music publishing business. Therefore we’re very happy to welcome Helen McLaughlin, Head of A&R and Business Development from music publishing company, The Kennel in Stockholm, to our Promus Online-session, Tuesday the 13th of April from 16:00 – 17:00 on ZOOM.
Helen will here give an insight to her work as a music publisher – and especially on an international level. What does it mean to work as a music publisher? What does the work consist of? How is the market today and which players dominate the field nationally in Sweden/Scandinavia and internationally (US/UK/Asia)? How do you plan and manage your career to be able to work in the field professionally, and which competencies do you need if you want to work as a music publisher – and, last but not least, what are the latest trends in the business?
This session is also a kick-off-session for the participants for our coming Promus Publishing Academy-course which will start from Thursday the 15th of April. The course is unfortunately “sold-out” now.
