5 sync managers from top rights holders put their wide ranging musical knowledge to the test in the Battle of the Sync Managers/Reps. They will compete to respond to a brief and an advert (with no music) provided by veteran ex-Grey Group EVP Josh Rabinowitz, which gives the sync managers just fifteen minutes to present a track, and it all has to be done in front of a live audience.

Each sync rep should be prepared with their catalogues, which they can access via their laptops or phones, to respond to the live brief and then immediately send their track submission to a live engineer, who will lay back and edit the track to the ad. Then the engineer will present the music submission to the live audience.

This dynamic panel format will give insight into the processes central to the placement of music – such as responding to a brief for music, and selecting the right musical choices for your clients, something which is not normally done in 15 minutes, of course :-)
